Maternity Session | Grayslake, IL | Rollins Savanna Forest Preserve | Photography

The maternity session I’m sharing with you today turned out so beautifully. As I was editing all the pictures for this blog post, I kept getting more and more excited.

Before I share this session, though, I want to first tell you about the ‘G’ family. We met up at their home on a Sunday in August and ‘A’ (mommy-to-be) was just glowing. I knew we were in for a wonderful session. ‘A’ looked lovely in her dress. And I love the blue tones ‘J’ (daddy-to-be) chose to go with the neutral palette. Baby is a surprise, but I think we’ll definitely have to incorporate blue somewhere, to coordinate to the maternity session for either a boy or a girl.

Isn’t that adorable? I’m so glad they wanted to include all of their family members.

Next, we headed over to the Rollins Savanna Forest Preserve for the majority of the session. ‘A’ was in agreement that a mixture of candid/lifestyle and posing was the best option. I think we definitely pulled off that vibe! That sun never wanted to make an appearance but the sky was moody. dramatic, and beautiful. Overall, we had a really fun time together and I know that ‘J’ and ‘A’ are going to make the best parents to their little one.

So now we’ll all have to wait – with mom and dad – to find out what the gender is. Until then, check out these gorgeous photos!
