Please book your outdoor sessions 30-60 minutes after sunrise or 1-2 hours before sunset, depending on your session length.

Midday is best for indoor hospital and home sessions.

If you’re unsure, book close to and we can adjust the times as needed.

Confetti, Candy, etc.

$15+

Non-reusable items. Anything that will be tossed around and swept up and thrown in trash afterwards. No wet-sticky, damaging items may be used. Real glitter is not used for safety. Mention when booking.

Bubble Machine

$30+

Limited to water safe backdrops, props, and floors. Bubble machines create a lot of bubbles. Discuss when booking. Small, hand held bubble wands may be brought to any session at no extra fee for some adorable images. This add-on is to use a machine, for set up and clean up.

Additional person

$50 per person

Add a bestie, cousin, grandparent, etc. This is for including a special person in your session. This is not for extended families, additional friend families, or session splitting. Add this on to custom sessions, time permitting. May not apply to mini sessions. No weddings or events. Most non-family sessions (milestone, child, maternity) include and start with family and siblings before moving onto the main subject; a bestie or cousin may take their place in a session with the main subject at no extra fee. This fee is in addition to keeping immediate family in the session, as well as the extra person/s. Planning and communications are with the contracted client, and images will be delivered in one gallery to the contracted client. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Composites

$25+

Discuss when booking for posing to complete the composite. There are endless options including sports, fairytale, family, etc.

Magical Additions

$15+

Please discuss prior to session if a specific pose is needed. $15 starting price per image. This may include, butterflies, fireflies, shadow people, lights, sparkles, fireworks, sports elements, dinosaurs, dragons, etc.

Additional Editing

$15+ per image

Basic editing is included in session pricing. That includes some things that are typically on the body for less than 2 weeks like sparse acne, newborn flakes, and small scratches and bruises. Things that are not included are extreme acne or wounds covering a large portion of the skin, body size, extreme skin smoothing, hair, wardrobe choice, or anything that has been selected by or could have been corrected by the client, including wrinkles, clothing color, missing nail polish, eyelashes, makeup, glasses, tattoos, accessories, hair ties, phones, food, nasal discharge, etc.

Backgrounds and setups available in studio

Backdrops are sorted by size and people they fit via tabs near the top. There are some examples of use within the galleries. Not all options are listed as new ones are being added frequently. Custom setups are also available. Please discuss at booking to see if your vision is something I can create for your session. I love adding new options to the studio.

Q&A

A $50 non-refundable retainer is required to book a session. The retainer reserves your requested time as well as the time of your photographer. Your requested session time will remain available for all clients to book until the retainer is paid in full. The retainer amount is applied to the balance after the session. The balance is due after viewing the proofing gallery.

Family provides cake or smash food substitute. The studio does not provide food products or accept liability for accidents or illnesses related to cake or substitutes. A trial run with cake or substitute one week or more prior to the session is recommended.

Tax is applied to USB’s, prints, enlargements and all other physical products. All physical products are purchased separately after sessions.

A travel fee may be applied for locations 30+ minutes from the studio, and calculated in advance, based on the time of day the travel will take place. I am permitted at Lake County Forest Preserve (LCFP) locations, and primarily shoot at these locations outside of the studio. There is no added fee imposed by the photographer for the studio, or approved LCFP locations. The client is responsible for all fees for themselves and the photographer, at requested locations outside of my studio and LCFP, including permit fees, entrance fees, parking fees and other fees that may apply to other locations. Send me a messages if you have any questions. All travel fees will be collected prior to the session and will not be refunded once travel to the location has been completed by the photographer.

Your proofing gallery is where you will view your files online. The files are watermarked and proofing galleries are not downloadable. Standard online proofing galleries are delivered in 2-4 weeks. You will receive your proofing gallery link via e-mail when it is ready for viewing. The proofing gallery includes standard editing that is included. It will remain active for 7 days after delivery, and your balance will be due. Once any remaining balance is paid in full you will be e-mailed a download gallery link.

Composites, Magical Additions, and additional editing are selected after viewing the proofing gallery but please discuss any interest prior so that we can plan the image with any lighting or posing required, and also to keep this editing in line in the editing queue, with your session. All editing is done in the order it is received. If your edit request occurs after your session, after viewing your images, you will be placed at the end of the line in the queue at that time, to keep all other booked work and delivery estimations on schedule. Additional editing will begin after image selection is finalized for the project, and payment of of your balance is complete. No further work will begin prior to payment. Custom turnaround times may apply, depending on the size of the project. Additional editing is not included in the 2-4 week turnaround time guarantee for your session gallery, and may not be delivered in that timeframe.

Download galleries are delivered within 2 open business days after balance is paid in full, containing all purchased/included standard edited images from the proofing gallery. Revisions, Composites, Magical Additions, and additional editing have custom turnaround times.

Physical products are selected and ordered after viewing the proofing gallery. Delivery times of prints and products vary. Small prints and cards ordered through your gallery can be delivered in as little as 2 days but may take longer.

There is a growing client closet in studio. It mostly contains newborn and 12 month options. There are a few options for maternity, women, girls, and toddler boys. I plan to add more in the future. If in question, ask, and always during the booking/planning process so I can have correct sizes pulled from storage, or possibly order something.

When booking, let me know what theme you have in mind for your session. I’m a very visual person, so pictures help. If I have something similar that might work, I will let you know. If I do not have something, I will let you know what options we have, or if I cannot accomplish the request.

Only those listed in the contract will be photographed. I do not shoot weddings, events, or extended families. It depends on the people being photographed and the location. The studio is small and does not fit multiple adult spectators. If a small child or baby is being photographed, it is difficult to keep their attention on the camera and they will most likely be looking in the direction of the other people in the room. Babies also may become overstimulated by multiple people attempting to get them to smile. It gets loud in here very quickly. In a newborn session, it is best if arrangements are made for siblings, after the family and sibling portraits, especially if baby does not settle well with noise. If an older child, teen, senior, or maternity client wants a support person, then absolutely. Please refer back to “only those listed in the contract will be photographed”. Most sessions are for individual families (up to 2 adults and immediate children). If you are an individual that does not have family participating in the session, your person may join you in your session and pictures in place of family portion. Please refer to pricing and information for individual session types. If you want someone to join you in pictures in addition to individual and family pictures, please refer to the Add-On fee above for pricing. Any time babies and small children are involved, sessions can take more time, and be more intense (though usually fun and a good workout), so additional people may require a fee or booking a longer session.

Multiple sessions per calendar year

Per calendar year, January 1st-December 31st, every session after your first will receive 10% off as a thank you. Percentage discounts and sales may not be combined.

Referral program

WHAT IS IT?

One of the biggest compliments clients give is when they send their friends and family for pictures! The referral program is a way to say “thank you!” and give you a little something extra for being such a wonderful supporter.

HOW IT WORKS

For every new referral from you that books and completes their first session you receive the following credit towards your next session: $15 when they complete a mini or petite session OR $30 when they complete a full or deluxe session. Each referral must be from a new household/family that I have not photographed before.

WHEN YOU’RE REWARDED

Once your new referral completes a session, approves their images, pays their balance in full, and downloads their gallery, you will be notified of your new and total referral credits available. Then, just let me know when you want to have them applied to a session. Referral credits can be combined with percentage discounts.

Payment plans are available!

The watermarked proofing gallery is delivered 2-4 weeks after your session, or less. Your balance is due within 7 days and the proofing gallery is viewable during that time. After 7 days, the link will become inactive but, if you find you need a little more time to complete payment for your session, let me know. You may make payments towards your balance until it is paid in full. After your balance is paid in full you will receive access to download your gallery.
