A spring session in studio with my littlest…

The best time for me to capture my own children is when I’m setting up new themes. Seasonal ones, like spring, are always a favorite. This is a face you see often. I allow my older 2 children more decisions in when their pictures are taken and which are shared because they’re getting older. This little guy is a ham and was the most cooperative 3-year-old ever the other day. I had to tell him we were done repeatedly, and he just kept going. So here’s a rare opportunity to see a 3-year-old just unwind and do his thing in front of the camera. Please enjoy my little guy during his spring session.

He’s been a nail biter since teething as an infant and this is the first time I remember him doing it during pictures. I kept those for that reason. It’s a great idea to let me know when your child is doing something during a session that you want to remember. That way I know to keep something, that may seem otherwise insignificant, while I’m culling and editing your pictures for your gallery.

Lately he’s been helping (un) fix up the studio. He seems to enjoy watching new set-ups get assembled. He also likes to grab his favorite props when I’m not looking to go hide them somewhere. The eggs are missing from this set.  Re-claiming props can be added to daily duties of a photographer with a home studio.

At least the weather is warming up so we can get his energy out elsewhere. We spent a good amount of time outside yesterday picking up leaves and sticks. Yay for that!
