Fall family photography in Wonder Lake, Illinois.

Hi again, everyone! Next up on the blog is this amazing fall family photography session with the “C” family in Wonder Lake.

Let me stop for a second to tell you that I am seriously the luckiest photographer in the world. My clients are always so amazing to work with. That’s true of my session with the “C” family, too!

I met up with them October 15th in Wonder Lake, Illinois and the weather held out for photo-taking. It’s been a stormy fall and was a pretty overcast day. That’s really a good thing sometimes, not having any harsh sun. While the weather was fine, it was the “C” family that made this shoot such a success. They are always dressed so nicely for their sessions and I swear they have a pre-session family meeting.

The “C” family consists of 3, the mom, “H” and her daughter “L” and son “A”. I’ve known them since I lived in Belvidere and her kids are both about a year younger than my daughter and son. They travel out to see me at least once yearly to update their family pictures. I love catching up and watching them grow.

This family is not only photogenic, but also a close-knit group who clearly love spending time together. We met in a quiet place so they could let loose and be silly together. Oh, the personalities. “L” is growing into a beautiful young lady with just enough spunk. She’s awesome, and I love her curls! She keeps asking for a snowy winter session in a beautiful gown so I’m praying for a beautiful snow and hunting for a tree farm. Hopefully this is the year “L”. I can’t wait to see how those turn out. “A” is a handsome young man with a great sense of humor. He keeps everyone laughing. When I told him to whisper his favorite vegetable into his mom’s ear he whispered instead, “I don’t like vegetables”. Let’s not forget that style either, he’s definitely a hat guy.
