Making time to capture my family in more photos
I’d like to share photos and a little of my home life in here. My son, being 1, had some energy to get out the night before last. It was cool but nice enough out, so I let him run around a bit. I don’t like letting sunsets go to waste either and he was already dressed really cute. So, we grabbed my camera, a flash, a little chair, and headed to the backyard. Yesterday I tossed the photos in my computer and did some very minor editing. Look at that cute little face!
What I love most about photographing babies and toddlers is how raw they are. You can put them in a certain situation to attempt to contain them (like the chair), but you can’t really pose them. I love that. I just sit and wait it out or act silly and they will eventually give me something cute. It isn’t always the mood or face I was after. I love the pouting and crying pictures too though! They’re kids, they cry sometimes. I love the silly faces, the mean faces, the “get out of my face with that camera” faces. Those photos are all keepers to me.
I have a goal this year of photographing my older children more, but they aren’t always as eager to sit through a photo session with me. I also have a goal of including myself more with my family and alone. If you’re considering bringing your child out for a photo session with me consider getting yourself ready as well. You may just want to jump in there for a few, and you’ll love yourself for it later.
Do you want to know more about sessions and packages? Check out the details here. You can book a session through the scheduler under each session.
