A sports photography session for hockey and baseball – with mommy and Grandpa

Earlier this year I had the opportunity to photograph family from out of state. The adorable mom and her son are from Florida and really wanted to see some snow while they were here. It was funny because we hardly had snow all winter long here in Northern Illinois, but we had snow for her. Brr. Along with her and her 1-year-old son was her dad. She had a request for sports photography, including hockey and baseball. We were also able to capture a picture of the 3 generations which is a beautiful thing for families to have. Afterwards I put together a digital composite using frames. It’s a fun way to showcase a family.

The rest of the session was mainly sports themed. It turned out really cute. I hunted high and low for a little net to use for her requested Blackhawks theme. I also found cute little hockey sticks that fit perfectly with the theme and he loved them.

Although hockey was the main event, there was a change in clothing that lead to baseball. I found these cute little bases and already had a bat and ball. How cute are these 2?

What’s a sports session without a composite? It has to look legit right?

COMPOSITES:

Special composite requests are not included in the session fee. Composite pricing starts at $25.  If you are interested in a custom creation for your family let me know before the session. I like to plan the shot ahead of time as some require specific lighting.
